mX article - faster and more frequent rail services and cheaper fares suggested!

According to something on the front page of mX today, Minister Emerson wants "more high frequency trains services to the suburbs and more affordable fares."  Also, 'Queensland Rail was "looking at" express services on several lines.'

The mX asked readers to submit questions for the Transport Minister last week.  Guess, it is probably related to that exercise.  A few of the questions were circulated via twitter today as a lead for the article.

I think they mean they can't do it at an economic cost.

Yes, they would need to upgrade the system software modules which is a significant expense as I understand it.  The go card is capable of periodical ticketing, but not in its present software configuration ...
