THINK I read somewhere, some time back, that "real time signage" was slowly working its way through the wish-list of the flat-earthers who run so much of our SEQ public transit system - readers MAY be interested in the article linked below from the NZ press - hopefully "our" system, if one ever does in fact materialise - in the year 201? of the 21stC [maybe] - will avoid this type of problem.

We wait with anticipation...and wait......  :steam:

SEQ, where our only "fast-track" is in becoming the rail embarrassment of Australia!   :frs:

It's already running in Logan.  I haven't heard a bad word about it except for some of the initial teething issues which are now fixed.

The real-time signage at bus stops is only available at Beenleigh Station Stop A, 7 of the 8 bays at the Hyperdome and at the platforms at Springwood (Beenleigh B is used by Surfside and the other bay at the Hyperdome by Veolia so no point).  It appears to be working well though.

I've actually been told by  a contact in the bus side of things that the Real Time Info program has been terminated, with the units currently in the Logan buses being taken out when they fail.

Mid-2013 was the end date for the trial and funding hadn't been secured beyond that.

However, that's an interesting observation Petey. I'm sure I saw something the other day about PIDs having been installed at Logan Central in the past month which would indicate that it may continue.
