 >:( This is the message I placed this morning on the TransLink feedback form: "I have had uncomfortable rides on TransLink's busses but this morning's takes the cake.  Whoever thought the 5 across bus seats was a good idea was sold a bill of goods.  It is obvious this model bus was built by pygmies FOR pygmies, not normal Western-sized people and particularly not fat Brisbane people!  What a waste of money.  There will never be 3 people sitting in the 3 across seats as two people will have half a cheek on the divider and plenty of elbow room in between.  I was sitting on the aisle side of a two seater and the seatbelt base was pressing into my bum the whole time and now I will probably have a bruise.  I am not an overweight person.  I wear as size 12/14 and I was on top of a skinny guy next to me.  It is appalling that some of the bone headed decisions made by people who probably don't even ride the bus are an absolute waste of money and end up offering inferior service to the patrons who are paying top dollar for it!

I only took the bus because of the Cleveland line issues this morning which had cleared up according to the radio when I was already committed to driving to Capalaba.  As Julia Roberts' famous line goes - "Big mistake, big, huge!"

If it was a 3x2 seater then you were on a designated school bus, not something which should be out on normal route service.

In emergency shutdowns, there isn't that much that can be done, as I'm sure you would appreciate.  Most of the urban fleet would be committed to normal route service already - they can't just cancel buses to provide nicer vehicles for people affected by disruptions on the rail network.

And if it wasn't an urban bus, it would have been purchased by the operator themselves.
