At Taringa - 25km/h on the down main.  Been there since Feb 2011 at least.

There is now a 15km/h restriction (down from 25km/h) for the Park Rd->Dutton Park divergent points.
Both of these restrictions are still present.  >6 months to fix a temporary speed restriction?  That's POOR!
Apparently fixed now.

The Park Road points have been fixed for a while now.

Apparently the Taringa restriction is still there.

Just as an FYI, I noticed a speed restriction just after Hemmant (heading to Lindum) as the train clears those points.  Doesn't seem to affect the run time that much though.

petey3801

Yes, 25km/h speed restriction over the points out of Hemmant in the Up direction. Time is easily picked up with the loose timetable on the cleveland line.

The remainder of the Glasshouse Mtns speed restrictions have been lifted today.

I've noted the 25km/h signs were there this morning, then gone by afternoon peak.

There was still many concrete sleepers laying beside the track south of Glasshouse Mountains station this morning.

That is great news about the speed restrictions being lifted.  :-t

More than likely just stored there for next time. They have a whole heap inside the loop to Mayne coming off the Ferny Grove line as well.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Hello Golli,

Do you think so?
These are laid out in position all along the track immediately adjacent to the existing sleepers and not just stacked up in piles.

I'm not sure if it may be the case, but the short section of track that has laid out concrete sleepers in the Glasshouse area that may have not been completed in time in the last trackworks.  So it may be stored there for the next trackwork session.

Ahhhk, then I'd agree with what Arnz said. Not completed in time, but left there ready for the next closure. Theres not much point stacking them back up again if they're just going to get laid out like they are currently at a later date.

Is there anything official on the Petrie-Dakabin section?  It has been slowed for more than a week.

There is a short (25km/h by memory?) speed restriction near the top of Petrie bank. Don't know any details other than that (have been on leave for the past week until last night and can't remember if there was a visible track defect last time I was up there).

Is there a TSR on the down Shorncliffe line between Nudgee & Boondall?  I caught a train to Sandgate the other day, and after the tight curve after Nudgee the train never accelerated again and crawled the whole way to Boondall.   Normally apart from the curve that section is quite fast, and going the other way it was.

Not as far as i'm aware. I've been out there twice this week with no restrictions. There may have been some trouble in the corridor which meant Control asked the train to go through with caution on the day you went out there, or something along those lines?
