A FEASIBILITY study will look at options for redeveloping the Cleveland rail station.

A Queensland Transport spokesperson said expressions of interest may be sought later this year if the project was viable and the public would have input.

?The proposed redevelopment may involve accommodation for government services, residential and possibly retail or commercial development in a mixed-use transit-oriented development on or over the rail corridor,? the spokesperson told The Redland Times.

I used to live in Cleveland - many years ago.  That was when the area behind the station was bush and swamp.

The Redlands area has really taken off - with the land near Cleveland station turned into a harbour.  The station is looking a bit old and doesn't fit in with the modern designs of its surroundings.

It'll be good if they redevelop the station to give it a modern look and and provide more facilities for a fast-growing area.
