TRANSLINK are encouraging music lovers to catch the bus to this year's Caloundra Music Festival at Kings Beach.

TransLink Deputy Director-General Neil Scales said customers could travel easily to the festival, with Caloundra well serviced by public transport, including bus connections from Landsborough train station.

"Customers travelling by train can catch the Sunshine Coast line to Landsborough station and transfer to a connecting route 605 (Kawana to Landsborough via Caloundra) bus," Mr Scales said.

"Urban bus route 600 (Caloundra to Maroochydore) also travels to Kings Beach, close to the festival site."

Mr Scales encouraged customers to check the TransLink website for bus and train timetables and connections, particularly for the last services of the day.

"The last outbound train to Nambour on Friday night departs Landsborough station at 12.25am (Saturday morning), and the last inbound train to Brisbane departs Landsborough at 8.41pm," he said.

"On Saturday and Sunday nights, the last outbound train departs Landsborough at 9.55pm and the last inbound train departs at 11.10pm."

Festival-goers can use the park 'n' rides at the Caloundra Transit Centre on Cooma Terrace or at Queen Street, Caloundra, near the schools.

Festival organisers will run free shuttle buses between the park 'n' rides and the festival site from 2pm until 11.30pm on Friday, and from 10am until 11.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.

They have also scheduled free buses travelling to Golden Beach, Bellvista, Little Mountain, Aroona, Dicky Beach and Moffat Beach, and a Caloundra to Maroochydore bus service, which will replicate bus route 601.

Customers should see www.caloundramusicfestival.com for free shuttle bus details.

For more information about travelling to the festival and to plan your journey, visit the TransLink website translink.com.au or call 13 12 30, anytime.
