Logan Central station is open for business!

From Monday 20 August, buses will begin servicing the new station, and the following existing stops located on Wembley Road will be closed:

Bus stops closed:

    Wembley Road westbound stop 'Logan Central Plaza'
    Wembley Road eastbound stop 'Logan Central Plaza'
    The stop located inside Logan Central Plaza.

Alternative bus stop:

    New station - platform 1
    New station - platform 2

Wow, they must be planning on doing a lot of work this week!  I went past on the weekend and it didn't look a few days from being ready.  Still, I am hopeful

I am glad it is finally open!  No more doing a loop of the service road and shopping centre carpark! 

I wonder if a timetable review will follow, as this must surely save buses 2-3 minutes each trip especially in the eastbound direction!

Translink updated the timetables(to rename Logan Central Plaza to Logan Central station P1) and stated that this will not change travel times..

I travelled on the 550 Browns Plains to work this morning I must say we saved a few minutes however we of course waited until the correct time to leave so there is some dwell time..

I might get some photos..

I went past the unfinished station last Wednesday, and it definitely looks like a massive improvement over the previous arrangement (which was an incredibly stupid arrangement at that!)

Now that this is finished, how about that previously announced revamp of Browns Plains Station?
