Should 110 be BUZzed  or maybe 117 be deleted instead?I don't think ATM there's a BUZ service serving Beaudesart Rd between Moorooka and Acacia Ridge. BUZ 100 travels along Ipswich Road  from Annerley not Beaudesart Rd.Anyone have any suggestions?

Yeah, I think the 110 is a BUZ candidate, but extended to Richlands, and remove the 115.

I'm a bit hesitant to mess with the 117

kazzac

Yes I agree, BUZ 110 and leave 117 as it is.

BUZ 110, extend to Richlands (or further to Wacol), delete 466.

It is not a super high priority as CFN, but I would say that the 117 should be deleted entirely. There is already a rail station at Rocklea! Combine it into the 110 and you have a BUZ right there already! This could be done for very low cost as it is just a combination of two current routes.

The 117 serves area of Beaudesert Rd not served by any other route except the 540.  It probably should stay for coverage reasons (not patronage).

#Metro

What section is this?

Coverage reasons could be done by a dedicated council cab service (which I think TL should be funding anyway or at least administering) OR by cutting the 117 sharply into a proper welfare/coverage route that terminates at Moorooka, a bit like the 193 in New Farm.

Spend the rest on steam-ironing the 110 and BUZification if you can. Also might be worth looking at seeing if a connection to the other side of the freeway (sunnybank) is possible.

I think the 466 would stay. Isn't part of it's purpose to reduce dead running to/from Willawong Depot? Can see it being reduced though.

The bit south of Granard Rd.

Yes, there may well be a better way of serving this.

With the 466, only the first/last few trips should stay.

Really the only thing south of Learyod Road is the bus depot itself, and I think you would find that anybody working there probably has free travel anyway!

Just get rid of it.

(If they want to, there is no reason why BT couldn't do a pre-arranged staff shuttle to get people from Learoyd Rd to the depot.)

But then how do you handle last services leaving Richlands station?  Number them 110 and have a desto stating "Willawong"?  There could be demand for such services so I'd much prefer in service to dead running.

SurfRail

Dead running is not a serious issue for the 110.  The 130, 140 and 150 are all dramatically worse given the proximity of the relevant depots to each terminus.  The 110 is spitting distance now, and extending it to Richlands does not make it significantly worse.

Your solution sounds fine - avoids having another route number to remember.

There's nothing wrong with having a short-running service. Plenty of examples around - 462 pops into mind when it only runs between Richlands and Darra stations during off-peak, but runs all the way through Forest Lake during peak.

But this really isn't the priority. A Centenary Suburbs BUZ is more urgent IMO.

Old Northern Rd has been mentioned a few times as a BUZ candidate.

I think the whole networks needs a deep clean to be honest.

CFN is all about the absolute MINIMUM basic network to get everything connected. While this isn't CFN, it is still worthwhile discussing as it could be a BUZ candidate but isn't as urgent as CFN services to the triangle of poor service - Bulimba, Centenary, Northwest.

I've often thought that a re-worked 411 service could be a good BUZ candidate to slot in between the express bus stops.
