And this bit on the end about the fares for it:

Quote
Important fare information for go card customers

Customers using a go card to travel to and from the event on the Exhibition loop service can touch their go card on or off at the Exhibition station. Customers touching their card at the Exhibition station will be charged the $1.30 Exhibition surcharge ($0.70 for concession go card holders).

The Exhibition surcharge will be automatically refunded to all go card customers using this service on the evening of Tuesday 12 June.

Normal TransLink conditions and fares apply on all other scheduled services.

Visit the Caravan Camping & Touring Holiday Show website for more information or to buy event tickets.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Interesting. When I went to the 4WD & Boat show earlier this year, it was a free service. You had to touch off at one of the city stations before boarding your free service.  Was a bit fiddly.

Translink seems to have improved the speed at which fare adjustments occur, and the ease with which they seem to be able to do them. I posted about it in one of the go card threads but I ended up being able to call up about a fault I had on my trip to uni in the morning, and virtually as soon as I got off the phone I could see the adjustments online waiting for me to touchon and get the top up.

I feel there must have been some system update or something that improves the usability of the system from their end to improve their ability to search for and find incorrect fares. Either way, I would much prefer this method than having to touch of in the CBD then re-enter through the paper ticket gate.

The empty running services that are returning/leaving Mayne. They are never going to be carrying passengers to Exhibition station.

SurfRail

There isn't a huge need for it really.  Bowen Hills is walking distance to most of the towers that have sprung up recently (including the one I acted on which was the first one in the Bowen Hills UDA), and the RBWH busway is right on top of the biggest employment hub.

If CRR happens it will be nice, but you have to wonder just what will happen if Trouts Road then ever gets up - expect massive decrease in capacity and headways as most services will bypass it.
