New transit and bus lanes on the Gold Coast

Overview:

    Three Gold Coast projects have used transit and bus lanes as innovative solutions to proactively manage growth and protect the coast's enviable lifestyle.

Location:

        Smith Street in Southport
        Gold Coast Highway, south of Hooker Boulevard to Markeri Street at Mermaid Beach
        Gold Coast Highway, between Stevens Street in Southport and Government Road in Labrador

The new LNP member for Broadwater wants the Labrador T2 lanes taken out.

The LNP member for Mermaid Beach wants the proposed Nerang-Broadbeach Rd improvements to be scrapped.

The others appear to be "tolerable" to them.

We will need a lot more on-road bus priority to make the RTS feeders work properly.
