If Qld ALP do lose South Brisbane, they'll have to trade in the 8 seater Tarago for the Commodore/Falcon 7 seater Station Wagon.  :-r

Brisbanetimes--> Labor down to seven seats in Queensland

Our poll was on the mark!

This wasn't a hard election for anyone to pick- LNP win, but I think it took a few people by surprise how bad it really got that seats such as Nudgee, Logan and Sandgate fell to the LNP. I for one assumed that Labor would do slightly better than polls predicted and would thus be left with 15 or so seats, but that didn't happen.
South Brisbane by-election will be interesting. ALP staffer with close connections to Anna Bligh vs low profile LNP candidate who I believe has worked on infrastructure of sorts overseas.

The last few days of the ALP campaign surely lost them a number of seats "Please don't vote us all out" !?

Mr X

It lost them 3-5% of the 2PP vote I think. I would think that Labor MPs who narrowly lost their seats can happily blame that shocking final 2 weeks ad campaign and ALP HQ conceding defeat as a prime cause
for them losing their seats.
