Hello,

I received this feedback today from a regular commuter regarding changes to the Sunshine Coast timetable being under some further consideration.
Can anyone confirm if this is the case, or will it be just a result of the proposed changes to the Gold Coast line etc.

Regards,
Fares_Fair.

QuoteI had a call back from Translink today re my complaint about the late running of the 5.04pm from Central a week or so ago.
The interesting comment made was that there are timetable reviews on the horizon.
I did ask was the Nambour/Sunshine Coast area included in this review and the response was "yes".
Hopefully, QR will see the light and provide an express train.
One can live in hope.

I find the Translink call centre staff a bit ill-informed about anothing outside a timetable they can read or instructions printed for them.  They venture into the unknown when they improvise conversation.  It could just be that the call centre staffer knows there are timetable consultations underway and merely assumed that the SCL was included.

Any changes to the Sunshine Coast TT will likely be minor as it's a Sector I line (timetable adjustments for 1 or 2 services).

The next TT reviews are focused on the "sector II" lines (mostly southern + FG/Airport/Shorncliffe)

Stellar will be taking over from Serco shortly, so perhaps that will result in some improvement.

QR have confirmed this morning that there are no further changes planned for the Sunshine Coast line timetable.
They are in the early stages of Sector II changes.
There is nothing for a Sunshine Coast commuter to get excited about.
