Route 174 should be abolished and incorporated into BUZ 175 Logan Road

Another BUZ service can branch off the Eastern Busway at Cooparoo and run straight down Cavendish road to Upper Mount Gravatt, covering Newham Road.

That said, I don't think either are CFN yet. CFN is about the minimum basic...

No way!  Then what would serve Creek Rd between Cavendish Rd and Logan Rd, or more importantly, Newnham Rd between Creek Rd and Broadwater Rd.

Tell people on Newnham Rd to walk to the 175, 170 or 180?

What's the problem with adding evening trips to get 15 minute frequency to Creek/Logan as a first step?

Thinking about the 174 route its painfully slow the times I happen to catch it. Be it most times I'm not paying attention or cos i'm looking out the window but looking back theres often extra dwells at Woolloongabba or it travels pretty slow along Logan Road. Having said that I think the route should get the chop as the 177/178/183 could easily take over that route (running one via Creek/Newman roads into Garden City then on to Griffith while the other two could maintain its normal route).

I'd like this to be combined with a reroute of the 180 to send it further up Cavendish Rd.

Creek Road currently has the GCL, 177/178/183, which can be reorganised into an upgraded cross-town run once the GCL is finally dealt a death-blow and the replacement cross-town runs are in place.  Hook it into Griffith Uni, same as the current 177.

Newnham Rd has the 170/P171 along most of its length and 590 for its whole length. If anybody had any sense, they would be catching the bus towards Garden City and going up the busway, you would expect.

So, really no issue for me with taking the Logan/Creek/Newnham direct service out it it means the 175 can be BUZd.  I would combine this with stop resequencing too...
