Southern Spirit Train Heading To Brisbane This Week.

Great Southern Railways (GSR.) are once again running their Southern Spirit rail service which will arrive in Brisbane this Week. Below are the times for arrival as far as Acacia Ridge and Departure from Acacia Ridge.

Train Number 2GB8 hauled by NR85/84 both in Southern Spirit Livery.
Thu 10/11/2011, pass Kyarran 0717,
Lawrence Road 0740, Banyabba 0743, Camira Creek 0754, Rappville 0810, Leeville 0820, arrive Casino
0830 (passengers detrain, the train then shunts to the yard as directed by train control, before returning to
the platform to entrain passengers) depart 1440, pass Kyogle Loop 1507, Loadstone 1531, Glenapp 1557,
Tamrookum 1623, Bromelton 1630, Greenbank 1649, arrive Acacia Ridge 1702 depart 1820, thence as
tabled by QR.

7BG8
7BG8 on Sat 12/11/2011 will run as tabled by QR to pass Acacia Ridge 1100, Glenapp 1213, arrive Casino
1332 (passengers detrain, train stables as directed by train control, return to platform before departure for
passengers to entrain) depart 2210, arrive Grafton Yard 2335

All times are Daylight savings times.

On 10/11/11 Special Standard Gauge Train "Southern Spirit" #K905 will run: Acacia Ridge 18:20, South Brisbane 18:44, Roma Street 18:48. Thence #K706: Roma Street 19:40, South Brisbane 19:44, Acacia Ridge 20:10.

On 12/11/11 Special Standard Gauge Train "Southern Spirit" #K907 will run: Acacia Ridge 08:00, South Brisbane 08:28, Roma Street 08:32. Thence #K708: Roma Street 09:10, South Brisbane 09:14, Acacia Ridge.

The train will delay at Acacia Ridge Yard to attach/detach three (3) passenger cars and attach/detach one (1) locomotive to/from the rear of the train.

I'll probably head to Acacia Ridge, somewhere between Salisbury - Park Road or even to Roma Street.  All depends what time I'll finish school tomorrow.

The Southern Spirit visits Brisbane!
12th of November 2011 Great Southern Rail The Southern Spirit at Roma Street Station NR 77 & NR85 did the honours of hauling the train into Roma Street after 8am and departed after 9am heading to Adelaide via Melbourne.

It will also be visiting Brisbane on the following dates.....21 January 2012, 18 February 2012, 25 March 2012, 13 May 2012, 10 June 2012, 28 October 2012, 25 November 2012.
