Is this too small for what is required, and that is why we are persisting with 101/102 to Corinda?  I'd think that it was probably good enough for the 101+102+468 to dwell at this stop before commencing their run in the other direction.

Probably because there are passengers using the 101/102 between Oxley and Corinda?  I personally wouldn't want to walk to Oxley or Corinda if I lived halfway between the stations.  Jump on board a 101/102 and take a look for yourself and see what is happening along that section to answer your question is what I suggest.

I would find walking more attractive than relying on hourly (2 hourly Sunday) bus routes with bonus poor operating hours.  Perhaps you could do a combo I guess.  The 106 has a far better coverage of the east end of Corinda anyway.

Well I did.

Used to walk down the hill to Oxley in the mornings, and then roughly level ground from Corinda to home in the afternoon. How's that for strategy!
Don't live in that house anymore, which is lucky because the bottom floor, where my room was, got flooded.

Even if that is the reason, I'd still not be a fan of that trade.  101 & 102 should coordinate with the train at Oxley, not Corinda.  If you are concerned about the above and/or the double change to reach the 104, the 104 could be extended, if it is to still serve Corinda.
