Inner Northern Busway temporary closure

From the last service on Friday October 14 to the last service on Sunday 16 October, QUT Kelvin Grove and Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Herston busway stations will be closed due to construction works associated with the Legacy Way project.

During this closure, outbound services will travel to and service Normanby busway station as normal, then exit at Ithaca Street and turn onto Kelvin Grove Road. From Kelvin Grove Road, buses will turn right onto Herston Road and reconnect with the Inner Northern Busway at the Gilchrist Street entrance, then continue to RBWH busway station.

Inbound services will follow the same route in reverse.

Route 66

This service will start from stop 6 on Carraway Avenue (near Musk Avenue), Kelvin Grove (about 600 metres away) and travel as normal from Normanby to Woolloongabba busway stations.

These services will use 'Kelvin Grove' stop 6 on Kelvin Grove Road (near Blamey Street), about 700 metres away.

Route 363 will depart from the alternative stop at the Royal Children's Hospital on Herston Road (near Gilchrist Avenue). Customers for this service will need to catch routes 330, 333, 340 or 376 from stop 6 to this alternative stop.

Route 393 will depart from the RCH Herston busway station. Customers will need to catch routes 330, 333, 340 or 376 from stop 6 to the alternative stop at the Royal Children's Hospital on Herston Road (near Gilchrist Avenue).

Route 66

Customers for this service will need to go to 'Royal Children's Hospital' stop 8 on Herston Road (near Gilchrist Avenue), about 60 metres away from RCH Herston busway station.

From there catch routes 330, 333, 340 or 376 to 'Kelvin Grove' stop 6 on Kelvin Grove Road and transfer to route 66 at Carraway Avenue.

Changes to route 66 services (travelling to RBWH busway station)

Route 66 services will travel as normal from Woolloongabba busway station to Normanby busway station and terminate at stop 6 Carraway Avenue near Musk Avenue at Kelvin Grove.

Customers for route 66 services to QUT Kelvin Grove, RCH Herston or RBWH busway stations will need to transfer at Roma Street busway station to routes 330, 333, 340 or 376. These services will use alternative bus stops near these busway stations.

Changes to route 363 (inbound and outbound)
Inbound services

Inbound services will divert onto Gregory Terrace and travel along College Road, Countess Street and Roma Street and then continue into the CBD.

Customers for inbound route 363 services should use stop 125 on Roma Street (opposite Makerston Street).

Outbound services

Customers for outbound 363 services should use stop 121 located on Roma Street (near Markerston Street), outside Queensland Police Headquarters.

Basically, QUT KG and RCH busway stations are closed. 333, 330, 340 and 376 will travel from Normanby Busway station via Kelvin Grove Rd stopping at an alternative stop outside QUT, then Herston Rd stopping outside the RCH busway station before returning to the busway.

Route 66 will be terminating at QUT KG leaving RCH and RBWH unserved by route 66. It will use a different alternative bus stop at QUT KG, on Musk St.

Route 393 will be starting from the RCH busway station, serving the busway platforms, but not serving either QUT KG or Normanby.

Route 363 will travel from the alternative RCH hospital stop via Gregory Tce and Countess St, and serve the Roma St stop outside the busway station. How route 363 will serve the alternative RCH stop then get to Gregory Tce remains to be seen
