One must question is it now too late to raise the height of platforms 1 & 2 at Brunswick Street when the reconstruction of those platforms commences at the end of this month.
It would also be logical to raise the height of platforms 1 & 2 at Indooroopilly while the current reconstruction is being carried out.
Again a little more applied logic it should also be possible to raise the heights of the currently closed and unused platforms at Auchenflower which caters for a considerable number of elderley and infirm using that station to access the Wesley Hospital and Taringa while that section of the line is shut down to enable the work at Indooroopilly to be carried out.
It has been noted that the line from Milton west to Indooroopilly and beyond has been marked out for the replacement of the timber sleepers supposedly with concrete, surely now would be the ideal time for this work to be carried out while there is no traffic on this section, it could be resleepered during daylight without any interuption and less disruption to residents with machinery working at night.
It would be logical and make sense but if one asks the answer will in all probability be either that work has not been scheduled yet or no funds have been allocated for this work.
That they could save money by doing it now does not seem to be a consideration to the current Government after they are not footing the bill it is the taxpayers of this state that carry that burden of their missmanagement.

Again I would suggest that you ask your local MP and the Transport Minister, QR can only do what they are told to do and they are deserving of your support.

Cheers.

The construction fencing came down today at Brunswick Street and I swear I could see a platform similar to Roma Street (ie. half high-level, half- low level).
