The bikeway to nowhere

Spotted from my bus to work this morning. A never used section of bikeway / pedestrian path that falls in alongside the Gateway motorway on-ramp from Logan Road and the South East Freeway, crosses the South East Freeway, then veers off and dead-ends in scrub.  Concrete has even been laid to connect this disused spur with the new section of the South East Arterial Bikeway under construction south of Miles Platting Road.
