The Honourable John Mickel

Public transport the way to get to the Titans

Lessons taken from Skilled Park's "People's Day" will make public transport to the Titan's trial match against Wests Tigers even better, Minister for Transport, Trade, Employment and Industrial Relations John Mickel said today.

"Overall, we were very happy with how the public transport system coped with the 20,000 people at People's Day and we're confident transport planning for the National Rugby League match on March 1 will run smoothly," Minister Mickel said.

"The overwhelming majority of the feedback from people on the day was very positive and we are satisfied that the traffic management plan for Skilled Park is 99 per cent right.

"There were a few minor issues with access to some suburban bus routes, so we have allocated additional services to these routes for the Tigers match.

"With these minor adjustments in place we are confident patrons will be able to get to and from the game easily on TransLink's public transport network.

"And of course, travel on TransLink services to and from the game is free with your match day ticket," Mr Mickel said.
