So given todays announcement of a parade for the bloody brilliant Brisbane Roar, starting from the bottom of the Queen Street Mall heading up via Albert St and ending in King George Square where the team will be gifted with keys to the city, has anyone heard about what the plan is for buses running through at that time? I'm assuming they're going to close Adelaide St for the parade to cross it, but I haven't heard any official announcements for or against this, or from Translink as to what they intend to do with the buses.

Anyone heard anything?

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

They probably don't intend to do anything. I've been in buses that have stopped for a few minutes to let a parade pass before. I've even been in a bus as it crept slowly behind a protest march as it went down Adelaide St. If the delay is going to be less than 5 minutes why should Translink bother adjusting bus services?

Just back from the parade & there was only up to 5 minutes delay for a few buses.

Cool cool. Just found this on the Translink page. Apparently they shifted some buses from the bottom of the mall.

From 10.30am until approximately 11.15am on Tuesday 15 March, there will be a temporary stop closure of Queen Street stops 56, 57, 58 and 59 due to the Brisbane Roar celebration parade taking place in the city.

As a result, there are some minor diversions in place for passengers looking to board services at these stops. Affected routes include:

    * 321 (Kalinga to City), Spring Hill Loop and 325 (Boondall to City) - services will depart and terminate from Creek Street stop 149
    * 310 (Brighton via Sandgate to City) and 335 (Taigum via Kirby Rd to City) - services will depart and terminate from Queen Street stop 60 (after Edward Street)
    * 350 (Bridgeman Downs to City) and 359 (Albany Creek to City) - services will depart and terminate from Elizabeth Street stop 89 (behind GPO)
    * CitySights - services will depart and terminate from Adelaide Street stop 41.

TransLink apologises for any inconvenience.
