Just something that has always dogged me- could Ipswich support a BUZ?

Yes/No?
Where would it go?
Would it connect to a train?

Ipswich already does have a BUZ (almost).  Route 515.  Could it support a full time BUZ at BUZ levels from 5am till 11pm, I'm not so sure on that one, Ipswich has a much lower population than parts of Brisbane and Logan itself where BUZes operate.

A fair comment... but am I allowed to ask, how would one forecast patronage for a BUZ route?
Do you draw circles around the bus stops, calculate the number of people and then multiply by a trip making factor?

And I think the key to increased PT use in the Ipswich area is an upgraded train service.

Bus upgrades are important too, but without the rail service to tie it together, especially for trips to Brisbane CBD, it's much harder to get the patronage.

I agree. Its been a long time since I've been to Ips. station. How easy is it to get a bus from it?
On the other hand, 515 is almost a BUZ, so the answer could be it is possible, whatever the train is doing.

There are small cities overseas that have good all-bus networks. Ips is very lucky to have the train, despite its poor frequency.
