An excellent piece by Mees and another by John Stone (no, not that John Stone) can be found in Dissent, 32, Autumn/Winter 2010. Mees piece is titled 'PT policy in Australia: a density illusion'. He argues against the conventional 'wisdom' that Australian cities aren't dense enough for PT.

For those who haven't discovered Dissent, it is edited by Kenneth Davidson & Lesley Vick, and is one of the few sources of alternative and well researched views in Australia. It is financed by subscription and doubtless free labour supplied by the editors and who knows how much by Davidson himself. The website, http://www.dissent.com.au/ shows the titles of articles in all issues. You will surely recognise many of the authors as dissenters from the received views held by both major parties and all the power elites in the country. A bit more than sad that the dissenters are probably correct on most issues.

A further vote for Mees to be invited to the next CPTF.  :-t :-t
