The City of Stirling's trackless tram trial has received national recognition with the city's CEO Stevan Rodic accepting the award from Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Thursday.

The 2024 National Awards for Local Government, held in Canberra, attracted 144 nominations and 12,000 votes across its categories with the city winning the Productivity through Infrastructure category.

The award commends initiatives that use technological innovations, consider sustainability, liveability and productivity in investment strategies and planning and addresses long-term infrastructure priorities. ...
