Currently, congested roads, environmental degradation, increased road accidents, a growing population and climate change are all having an effect on our local communities.

Rail can provide a key part of the solution to these national challenges. Any change that sees more freight and more people travelling by rail will improve the safety of those travelling on our roads, reduce road congestion, reduce road accidents, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and most importantly, improve the quality of life for all Australians.
