BT buses should be painted the same as other Translink buses and operate any route Translink request them to including across city boundaries.
One of the things which gets up my nostrils is Translink getting so upset about this when there are so many other, more important issues!

Some routes do already cross city boundaries. 396/397/398 all do, not sure about 360 but I believe it does too. IIRC the boundary around there is the Kedron Brook. And as I understand it all the newest BCC buses do have the TL logo on them, I've seen some out and about. Buses numbered after IIRC 1882? Somewhere around there.
There is no silver bullet... but there is silver buckshot.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

If it was just the livery then I agree... but it is so much more.  Time to separate supplier from funds provider.  Never should the twain meet.

Brisbane City Council is refusing to spend $8 million to modernise the Queen Street bus station as part of a deal to hand management of the facility to the state government.

Transport Minister Rachel Nolan has said the council must pay for fire and disability access upgrades before the government would accept responsibility for the station.

"It is quite an old piece of infrastructure and it really needs to be bought up to modern standards," she said.

However, Brisbane Lord Mayor Campbell Newman said a deal struck with then-premier Peter Beattie five years ago should preclude the council from paying the government.

The worst bit is this:

He also said the bus station, located under the Myer Centre, had cost the council $2 million a year in addition to about $1.5 million in annual lost revenue from the car parks.

"Three hundred car parks easily generate $6000 a day, each weekday for the ratepayers. So that is $6000 a day ... for the life of the car park," Cr Newman said.

As I said 'petty polyticks' all over.  Sickening and disappointing.

It is time to push all these clowns aside and move forward with the some real representatives for the community.
Half baked projects, have long term consequences ...

Well that paragraph pretty much confirms Campbell being in bed with the RACQ and more concerned with making money off car parks than working with the state on sustainable transport.
