Looks like traffic has been restored to two lanes on Ardoyne Road, but barriers still in place blocking the bus bay. The new footpath has opened.

Nearly there ...  ;)

Do you know when they poured the concrete in the busbay? If it was only recently poured then that would be why its closed off. Concrete takes almost a month to reach its full strength, but can usually be loaded after a week or two depending on the conditions and the load.
There is no silver bullet... but there is silver buckshot.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Woohoo glad to see it's open - now where is the "kiss and ride" for those people using Platform 3 (99% of morning commuters use platform 3)

 :)

As it was 27th December 2009

It is difficult to tell if the slope is different by eye, but it must be now compliant (that is not steeper than 1:14, it was 1:13.8 before remediation works) and note the hand rails now on the path.  There was much conjecture if it was a foot path or an access ramp to the station ..  but now sorted.

Does this now mean that either
(a) no footpath can be steeper than 1 in 14
(b) the footpath at any bus stop can be no steeper than 1 in 14, or
(c) some pedantic nitpicker has justified his existence over a .2 increment in the grade but is incapable of ensuring that the station platform which has been a new construction rather than an already existing one complies with either commonwealth disability access legislation or the Queensland WH&S requirements for a step height to access a train.

Wow, that feeder bus has terrible service frequency!
