Some parts of the plan (not very prominent) suggest more motorways some of these will be motorways to greenfield areas where there isn't an alternative apart from bus or rail in the plan.

Given that there is a real need for $$$ to fund the plan, could some of these motorways be toll motorways with the funds collected going into PT projects? If Clem 7 demonstrates anything, it is that if you toll it, people will be discouraged in using it- very effective!

Negative people... have a problem for every solution. Posts are commentary and are not necessarily endorsed by RAIL Back on Track or its members.

But as Clem 7 has shown is that a lot of investrs money is funnelled down the drain to build them and they odn't make money until the capital investmet is written off to nothing.  A lot of this money is invested by super fuds.  Long term not a smart approach.

Best approach is not to build them.  The Motorways in the plan are the last remnants of the 1960's and must be removed along with any further expansion of th existing network.

The $$$$ can come from this funding redirection (and future maintenance costs) and longer term less drain on our overall taxes form toad trauma and ever expanding urban sparawl.
