Some bus questions

Some questions from a bus commuter, can we help please?

QuoteHas anyone in Brisbane ever seen a new bus (of the 500 new buses) with a higher number than 287?

How many was the expected NET increase these 500 new buses will have over the entire BCC network, given buses are retired every year as well?

Why does there seem to be a disproportionately high number of the new buses, that are assigned to the Willawong Bus Depot?

Is there a quota formula that decides which depot gets the new buses?

Is it possible to find out the age of every bus in the BCC fleet and where they are assigned?

Please post responses here.

A thread at ATDB (Bus Australia) has a running tally of the 500 new buses,

Wouldn't the larger number of buses assigned to Willawong have something to do with Willawong being a newish depot so unless the new bus was being sent to replace an older bus it would just be sent to there? Not 100% sure on that, but thats just how I would see it.
There is no silver bullet... but there is silver buckshot.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

ATDB would be a better place to ask these questions.

I have been noticing that out my way, if a bus is from Toowong depot it is almost always low floor, but the majority of Richlands depot buses are high floor.

There may be some things which we can never explain.
