Would it be worthwhile to have more buses go via Story Bridge and into the CBD serving the Valley, Creek St Financial District and then the downtown area? Just floating an idea.

Coming from where though? Eastern suburbs or SE Busway?

I view it as a lay down mizaire that the 230 & 235 should be abolished for a full time service on the 231/236 via Storey Bridge.  Although perhaps those routes may be better using Adelaide St rather than Ann/Elizabeth Sts.

Canning the 215/220 for the 214/216/221 could be an arguable point.  It is certainly something which could be looked at though, together with the 210/P211/212 routes.  The current 215/212(?) routes which terminate at Carindale don't make that much sense to me, and neither does the 227 via the Storey Bridge.  There is no integration.

If you can the 215/220 and just leave the 214 in, you would need to ensure that connections are still made with those other routes coming from Wynnum and Tingalpa in order for those residents to have access to Richmond Road and the TAFE.

Well that's what's happens in peak anyway.  Not saying that I have thought through all the issues, which is why it isn't in the "Suggested bus improvements" thread, but I know I do not like routes which virtually double back on themselves like the 215 does.

Here's a question: does Richmond Rd actually require a service?  If the service ran along Wynnum Rd instead, it isn't too far away.  Also for the TAFE, the train station isn't that far and neither is Macrossan Av.

How about a route from the Stanley Bridge, along Macrossan Av, Stanley Rd, Meadowlands Rd and into Tingalpa?  Possibly extending somewhere else like the current 227 terminus.  Probably deviate into Carindale shops.

That would explain why I saw the gates shut when I caught a 220 recently.  My bad!
