Nambour off-peak schedule. Upgrade the 11:11am and 2:38pm to express trains

Its generally known that the North Coast Line has only one track between Caboolture and Nambour/Gympie North, thus having to share paths with freights and Long distance, and crossing at loops.  This is currently being addressed with duplication and re-alignment works. 

BUT I have to question the weekday off-peak timetable, whilst buses are being put inbetween gaps as a short-term measure untill duplication construction works are completed.  There is (usually) a ICE that is rostered to work 2x Nambour-Caboolture shuttles.  There is a 3hour, 38 min gap in this roster.

This particular ICE works.

1. 5:48am Roma Street to Nambour service, arriving Nambour @ 7:54am
2. 8:23am Nambour to Caboolture SHUTTLE, arriving Caboolture @ 9:27am
3. 9:47am Caboolture to Nambour SHUTTLE, arriving Nambour @ 10:49am
4. 11:11am Nambour to Caboolture SHUTTLE, arriving Caboolture @ 12:15pm
(BIG 3hour, 38 min gap here)
5. 3:53pm Caboolture to Nambour SHUTTLE, arriving Nambour @ 4:58pm
6. 5:27pm Nambour to Roma Street service, arriving Roma Street @ 7:59pm

What I'd suggest is to fix is that (Changes are in bold).

1. 5:48am Roma Street to Nambour service, arriving Nambour @ 7:54am
2. 8:23am Nambour to Caboolture SHUTTLE, arriving Caboolture @ 9:27am
3. 9:47am Caboolture to Nambour SHUTTLE, arriving Nambour @ 10:49am
4. 11:11am Nambour to Caboolture service, arriving Roma Street @ 1:00pm
(Train extended to Roma Street, 2hour gap @ Bowen Hills depot).
5. 3:05pm Roma Street to Nambour service, arriving Nambour @ 4:58pm
(NEW Train - Separates from the 2:38pm current Caboolture/Nambour connection train)
6. 5:27pm Nambour to Roma Street service, arriving Roma Street @ 7:59pm

Looks good Arnz.  Might be some crew implications but could be worked around.
