I love this quote:
"The fare increase will deliver additional 301 000 public transport seats every single week."

1) Not the best phrasing of this sentence.
2) Ignoring 1), the deadline is not stated.
3) Where are the additional train services?

Evening peak service to Enoggera* 2007 - 7tph
Evening peak service to Enoggera* 2010 - 4tph
* departures from Central between 16:30 and 17:30.

Yeah, everytime I read that or something like it, it makes me think that every week they are going to add 301,000 seats to the network.
There is no silver bullet... but there is silver buckshot.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Wow, not just that sentence but the whole letter is pretty sloppy.

Plus, arrrgg, head in sand much about desire to fix costs. Plus I love the fact they talk about equity for all, then say that you get a 50% discount if you travel more than 10 trips. Equitable between M-F commuters and non commuters? Equitable between short and long distance? So many questions.

WTF?

M-F 9-5 commuters are responsible for a large portion of the costs of PT, it is fair that they pay more than off peak commuters.  If you are against the frequent user discount, then I presume you are also against daily and weekly capping.
