Urgh.  All of the new projects are car parking.  Looking at Bald Hills, that's $3m for 159 spaces.  Better than Enoggera Reservoir, but still doesn't appear to represent good value for money.

It would nice to see more rail infrastructure on the list, and rail feeder buses, but surely extra car parking is better than people driving from the suburbs into the city?

I would expect that much of that $3m is for the land?

But not by very much.  Several years ago a parking space in Sydney's CBD went for $50 000-$80 000.  Frankly, that's not too different from this sort of price.  Only saving is the road space to get into the CBD.

As posted previously car parking achieve very little and cost a lot.  Our pollies talk TODS but our service providers built car parks.  Wevhave a long long way to go to achieve sustainability.

#Metro

Why don't they just build a TOD like Milton instead with a car park.
So rather than drive to the carpark to catch 385 to work, you drive to the carpark and you are already at work.
