Transition Towns Brisbane: Rail perspective required

Some might have heard about Transition Towns. This is a world wide movement in which activists organise to change the way their town works toward sustainability. Many of my friends in the environment movement are participating. The Brisbane group has a web group (http://brisbanetransitionhub.ning.com/).

Among the online groups within brisbanetransitionhub, I have set up one for rail, pointing Transition Townies at BackonTrack.

They have forums and meetings on various topics quite regularly. It is worth our while to keep an eye on these and attend where the topic is of interest, where the rail perspective should be highlighted. I don't think it's a big ask as rail is a popular issue with huge community support.
