ANNA Bligh has ruled out a reshuffle of her Cabinet, insisting at least some of her new ministers are performing well.

The Premier yesterday revealed she had no plans to rearrange her ministry, with the 17 members she handpicked after last year's election locked in for 2010.

"I am looking forward to 2010, there are some great opportunities ahead," she said. "But I will be taking the same team into 2010 with the same responsibilities as 2009.

"We have got a number of new ministers, they have spent 2009 really getting their feet under the desk and a number of them, I think, are really performing excellently."

Ms Bligh's comments should end speculation that she was considering shifting several of her struggling and gaffe-prone ministers out of high profile portfolios.

Opposition Leader John-Paul Langbroek also has ruled out a reshuffle.

I sincerely hope that Minister Nolan isn't considered to be one of the "really performing excellently" Ministers!

Why move (shuffel) the deck chairs on the "Bounty" just sink the thing and start again with an entirely new boat, crew and skipper.
