From Monday 11 January, TransLink staff will be out and about across South East Queensland to help customers with go card questions and selling pre-loaded go cards.

Look out for staff during the morning and afternoon peak at your local:

    * Train station
    * Busway station
    * Key bus station or interchange
    * Ferry terminal

More information on staff locations is available by calling 13 12 30.

View more information on go card and the local retailer network.

Good move.  Perhaps the reality of the disaster is starting to hit home ...

What a relief! If only they had listened, all this could have been avoided. There wouldn't be a need for lots of people as the topup machine would have been already installed. Doesn't seem like much help if you want to top up though.

Why don't they fire the spin doctors while they are at it. A little listening would reveal where the problems would crop up well ahead of time, and commuters offer solutions allowing preventative action. Much easier to prevent a PR disaster than clean up after one (or have the voters clean you up at the ballot box). Perhaps that's the spin department- make as many disasters as possible so they have to spend more on such services...

Why don't they just tell the truth? It's going to come out anyway.
Negative people... have a problem for every solution. Posts are commentary and are not necessarily endorsed by RAIL Back on Track or its members.

I saw Translink staff already out last week at Cultural Centre Busway.  But I think this announcement really shows how bungled the situation is, and their picking up the pieces.

Now, will this be in peak hour only, or will the off peak passengers have a chance to meet TL staff and buy the pre-loaded Go Cards off them?

There was someone to help newbies at Sandgate last Monday when I got there at 9am, so there at least it was aimed at off peak travellers.
