$400 for not having a valid ticket??

My initial response is these people have ^&*( for brains... I'll come back when I've calmed down and write why I think so!

I was a bit surprised when it was presented to me particularly as the go card is seen as a fare evasion solution by government.  I think this won't go ahead.

I kind of expected it.

If the number of fare evaders are dropping, then the revenue from that must also be falling.
The simple solution, from the gov perspective, is to make the individual fine more expensive.

The gov knows what it is doing.  ;)
Negative people... have a problem for every solution. Posts are commentary and are not necessarily endorsed by RAIL Back on Track or its members.

Can you imagine the beat up ... ' go card user flummoxed at the touch device, unable to read little screen because of moisture glare and scratches.  Touched off when they thought they touched on.   $400 thank you very much."
