FIRE and ambulance crews have descended upon Lawnton Train Station just north of Brisbane where a man is stuck in a lift.
A Department of Community Safety spokeswoman said the man was a bit agitated and all efforts were being made to free him.

"They're trying to find a key,'' she said.

Train services on the Petrie line are operating as normal.

So much for the reliability of lifts and the current levels of maintence, again further reason for ramps to provide disability access and subways instead of overhead footbridges to reduce the lengths of ramps.
Suppose a disabled or handicaped person gets stuch in a lift during a power outage which would also disable most of the emergency communication system at an unattended station and gets stressed to the point of a heart attack and they die, who accepts the responsibility.
