Improving Ipswich Buses

Just had an idea for an Ipswich Circle (ok, more like two semi-circles both starting and ending in the CBD).

Any ideas?

Spine routes: Run the 500 and 515 quarterly-hourly by day, and half-hourly in the evening, 7 days a week. Eliminate route 501 - why have an additional route which is near-identical to the 500?

Other routes: The same service levels as the existing rail to Brisbane, i.e. half-hourly except Sunday until 10am etc. Pulse-timetabling: all the main bus routes plus the train arriving at Bell St simultaneously, holding for a few minutes for passengers to transfer between routes, then departing simultaneously. This way, for instance, a passenger coming from Brassall on route 507 could transfer to the 515 to get to UQ, the 508 to Yamanto, or an inbound train.

It's a nice little fantasy, at least...
