New (old) Line Cruise Ship Terminal

I really like this idea.

THere is a new cruise ship terminal at Hamilton, Brisbane

It sits upon the old QR track at Brett's wharves.  The line has long been pulled up from this spot.

Now Cruise Ships come in, and taxis and motor coaches and limo's  take away the visitors.

The active end of the bretts wharf spur is still only 200m away ffrom the terminal.  I can image as part of a cruise ticket hoping off the ship and onto my awaiting option:

* Steam Hauled train of luxury carriages to suit ships such as QE2 or any of the luxury liners expected.
* Steam Hauled train of any coaches
* any train to anywhere.

Unimproved land is still available to create a extenion  form the active rail head to the cruise ship terminal.  Opportunity is knocking.

Where is our tourism commission when you need them!!!!!!!!!

Good suggestion but one must rember that this is the Smart state and logic or practiciality are not concepts endorsed by the current government of this state.

Most newer Panamax class cruise ships and some older ships such as the now retired QE2 cannot get under the Gateway Bridge, and thus cannot get to Brisbane's cruise terminal anyway.
