Police are searching for the person responsible for hurling a rock at a bus travelling in Alexandra Hills yesterday, injuring a female passenger.

The small projectile smashed through a window behind the driver sending glass fragments flying throughout the coach.

The female passenger sustained cuts her arm.

The bus was travelling down Finucane Road, between Cambridge Drive and Vienna Road when it was struck.

Police found the small rock that caused the damage, but were unable to find anyone responsible for the incident after patrolling the suburban area in the vicinity of the scene.
