A SCHOOLBUS with several children onboard and a truck have collided at Purga, near Ipswich, leaving the bus driver in a critical condition.
The bus driver was believed to have been ejected from the bus in the collision at Middle Road and has suffered serious head and leg injuries.

Nine school children were believed to have been on the bus, and one of them suffered minor injuries.

Careflight is at the scene at the moment and will transport the bus driver to hospital.

The crash came less than 24 hours after a fatal bus crash on the Sunshine Coast.

Veteran bus driver Bruce Kent was killed yesterday when a four-wheel-drive collided with his Sunbus.
