What contract commitments? Do you know for sure that Bombardier EDI are required to deliver one set per month or was that timetable nothing more than an empty promise from our political masters?

It would be misguided to blame private enterprise for the mistakes of Government.

Are not our government leaders required to inform the electorate of fact rather than provide disinformation or missinformation as is politicaly expedient, this morning the state member for Mt Ommaney The Honourable Ms Atwood when announcing an additional morning service on the Ipswich line with the Transport Minister Mickel at a publicity event at Corinda station again repeated the government line that the new sets are to be delivered at the rate of roughly one three car set per month.
If that is fact in relation to the rates of delivery of the new rolling stock there can be no question that the contractor is not complying with the conditions of the contract, if in fact the contractor is not required to deliver one three car set per month then it must be another example of deceit and duplicity by the government, they can not have it both ways, either way roll on the election.

I could be mistaken but I'm sure I have seen IMU Mk3 set number 176?

Yes - I believe there are 16 of these.  I'm sure I've seen 176 as well.   :)

176 is on Gold Coast - Airport duties on most days.

On the other hand, 268 sighted last week on "Test Train" duties..  not too long to go before the first batch of 160/260 MUs are completed.
