SM8262 running on the 5.13pm Central to Darra

Very pleasant ride - almost brand new train (if not brand new as still has new train plastic smell) - can't wait for more of these to be delivered - new trains really bring a smile to even the most jaded of public transport train commuters.

I attended the QR CRG Ipswich line meeting this evening at Corinda.  As luck would have it Mozz I decided to catch the 3.39pm service from Roma St to Corinda via Tennyson.  Units SMU 262/261.  The same train you boarded on your run home at 5.13pm!

The lead car was empty, I was the only passenger so a good opportunity to get some good detail photographs of the interior.

The new SMUs really are great trains.Considering narrow guage etc they have such a smooth ride and make use of all the space available.

First class indeed Mario.  Very clever use of design to maximise space, and comfortable as well.

I only hope the ones with toilets (the new IMUs) find their way onto the long north coast runs a bit more often!
