I'm interested in the way we calculate growth or decline figures.

We really should consider subtracting "Risk Free" patronage growth, that is growth that would have occurred on the PT network without any investment anyway. This is growth that comes from people moving to the area.

Ideally, the PT system should reflect at least population growth. Once we subtract population growth, a lot of those change values would be solidly negative.

Also, what is route 27? Is it a school bus??

It's just a shuttle between Eagle Street and Kangaroo Point... even though there's a ferry which does the same trip twice as often.

27 is a Kangaroo Point Shuttle since Thornton St ferry terminal got taken out of action when the green bridge construction started.

It was a nice little ferry.

It's just a shuttle between Eagle Street and Kangaroo Point... even though there's a ferry which does the same trip twice as often.

Not at the moment there isn't.  Currently zero ferry access to Kangaroo Point.

Thornton Street - permanently closed and will be replaced by the new bridge
Holman Street - temporarily closed due to flood damage until later this year / early next year
Dockside - not compatible with the KittyCats, temporarily closed until it can be rebuilt

Saw a 27 heading IB across the Story Bridge last week in the AM peak standing room only.

Shame it's only running at weird 25 min frequencies.

Gee I wonder why the 338, 357, 359 patronage keeps dropping... 

What I really want to know is the 314 patronage. What are they hiding with this one service a day.

On a serious note it's interesting how the majority of routes are declining including buz services while others that are poorly runs and designed such as the 336/337 between peak hours only have increases. It's also interesting that the 314 has a better patronage than some night link services.

What is even the purpose of such a route? It doesn't even run at a time that would be considered useful for CBD commuters. I suppose it could be used by students in the morning, however there isn't even a service for the end of school day.

It appears the 314 is a shopper service for about 4 people per day.
