It's concerning how many people have deserted PT in particular trains in SEQ as that won't bode well on the funding front for future large projects.

Moving forward, there will now be an additional cohort in terms of mode choice:

- Those who choose PT
- Those who choose AT
- Those who drive
- Those who stay at home and WFH

^ Workers definitely want the WFH option from employers, it is here to stay. The interesting thing is that introducing (de)congestion charging or road user charges will change the mode split between PT/Car/WFH.

I've definitely travelled less as I now have WFH options, there is often no need to travel or sit in traffic. Jonno's 20 minute city... is online! If I'm WFH I can just order food in on Uber Eats and have it delivered. Even a lot of healthcare is now online or over the phone.

Off-peak frequency will be important, as peak-hour becomes less important. PT will need to generate revenue all day rather than just rely on the peak.

Patronage is starting to come back ( > https://railbotforum.org/mbs/index.php?topic=14819.0 ). 
I think it will bounce up again in time.

It would help with we had a Minister for Transport more focussed on getting people (back) onto public transport rather than play politics.

If we had a public transport agency not under handcuffs from a roads obsessed bureaucracy.

If there was a focus on frequency increases.  Other jurisdictions around the land of Oz are running rings about Queensland and our underperforming public transport.

Unless there is a major turnaround there is no way the present clowns will be able to properly manage the 2032 Olympics, let alone transport needs for the community.

There were also road upgrades completed and with covid many people also preferred to drive to work due to minimal traffic. Toombul won't rebound for a while due to the shopping centre closure. As Bob mentioned it's coming back as traffic congestion increases and old habits return.
