There is another amazing footbridge being constructed up from Goodna rail station, The new Goodna State School pedestrian bridge.  There is a picture of as it was a month or so ago in this document.  There are a number of ramps to gain the height and allow access for children to climb.

To give you an idea of the size of this bridge. Check out this Australian Precast Solutions produces two of Australia's longest bridge beams

QuoteBogdan Gregory, Australian Precast Solutions Precast Manager, said, "These two bridge beams are the longest we've produced at our Macksville precast facility and I'm not aware of any longer ones being produced elsewhere.

"Our high capacity facility and heavy cranes allow us to manufacture and handle a product of this size. We manufacture bridge beams in a daily cycle. Approximately 16 hours after concreting, the product is lifted out of the mould and transported to the storage area."

The two manufactured Super T beams will be used for a pedestrian bridge for Goodna State School as part of the Dinmore to Goodna Ipswich Motorway Upgrade project being carried out by Origin Alliance for the Queensland Department of Main Roads. They were transported to Queensland on Sunday 15 August with a police heavy load escort.

Does seem odd, but the bridge is still a construction zone in effect.  Is open during the day for the school access primarily.  They were running shuttle buses around when there was no bridge acess (transition from old to new).
After hours they work on it.  There was workers there today too (Sunday).

Once complete it will be open as for any bridge

Yes, did guess it was due to construction, but seems rather quirky and couldn't resist!

The footbridge is now completed.  Has been in use for a while.

A most remarkable structure for a pedestrian thoroughfare.

As can be noted, ample room has been left for future track amplification.
