Logan Rd Underwood/Eight Mile Plains bike lanes

I've noticed in the past few days some roadworks being undertaken along this section that look like it might be providing for bike lanes/paths (or more likely a combination of the two). Does anyone know anything about this?

Most of the works are happening between Beenleigh Rd and Levington Rd where I guess it will be able to meet up with the V1?

It's not works in relation to the M1 upgrade/Busway & Veloway extensions is it? I don't travel along that way so I haven't seen the works, but M1 works up the Eight Mile Plains end do seem to be stretching up towards Logan Road in some parts, particularly around Levington Road.

I passed it again this morning, there's some signage about "Logan Rd on-road bike lanes"

I sure hope they have good segregation, as the speed limit is 80km/h in this section.
