As suspected OTR has dropped off for 24/7 FMA and Combined Peaks FMA.

Analysis will follow later today.

Queensland Rail Citytrain on-time running performance update

Data has now been published for all lines for January 2020. Ten months (April 2019  > January 2020) of the specific all line on-time running (OTR) and reliability data has now been published and useful comparative analysis can be done.

Data source: https://www.queenslandrail.com.au/aboutus/ourperformance/service-punctuality-and-reliability select ' Monthly on-time running '

All services, including peak and off-peak, are measured as on-time when they arrive within three minutes and 59 seconds of their scheduled time, or 5 minutes and 59 seconds on interurban services - Gold Coast, Rosewood and Sunshine Coast. Target is > 95%.

FMA = force majeure adjusted
CI = customer impact (what passengers actually experience)
CP = combined peaks

Summary graphs and graphs of each individual line's on-time running performance can be found at

> https://railbotforum.org/mbs/index.php?topic=13558.msg234119#msg234119 on the RAIL Back On Track forum.

January 2020 was a poor month overall for Queensland Rail Citytrain in terms of meeting on-time running targets, notwithstanding the infrastructure constraints (single line sections Manly <> Cleveland, and north of Beerburrum on the Sunshine Coast line). Peak performance was particularly poor, this is unexpected as less passengers travel in January compared to other months.  Our monitoring of reported rail service disruptions suggests that train faults, and the subsequent flow on effects are impacting on performance.

I think February is going to be poor OTR as well.  We will know when it is released on April the 10th or thereabouts.
