I could only support this if we get rid of one of the urban safari routes in this area - 227, 232, maybe even via truncation of another route. Remove the RBWH - CC part though, totally unnecessary.

While bus network reform is overdue, given the current state of play with BCC & State Gov, I don't see anything happening on that front for a while.
Is it really that hard to run frequent, reliable public transport?

Everybody wants a direct bus to everywhere.  No thanks.

Yep, sounds like someone at Murrarie, works at the RBWH.

I think the 232 is an important coverage route. No one's asking for it to be BUZzed (AFAIK) but it does provide connections on the Bulimba peninsula that aren't easily available elsewhere. Whether it needs to go to the CBD is debatable, but there's not many buses travelling via Shafston Avenue as it is.

its 45 minutes for the 230/333 connection from oxford st to rbwh with 3 min transfer penalty.

ferry/393 comes out at 25 minutes..

ferry to tennerife 4 mins + 7min connection + 13 mins to rbwh = 25 mins  << far more reliable as well since there is no dealing with gabba/busway congestion.

So the focus should be put onto that connection instead....upgrade the 393 frequency(good rbwh/bowen hills feeder) and feed bulimba ferry better..

edit: forgot about the kangaroo point to rbwh section..
Perhaps send the 234 to rbwh instead.....kangaroo point still has certain peak rockets to the city plus the 227(upgrade that route to 30mins at some point).
Time the 227/234 to connect in the same direction as closely as possible..
Kangaroo point also has the thornton st ferry as well..

The original proposal has several disparate legs that don't combine in a legible manner. I would be surprised if the demand supported the combination.

While we're talking about Routes Via RBWH, what do people think of revising the 234 into an inner north/east orbital? Gabba to RBWH, then via Herston to Kelvin Grove urban village.

Stop 10/6 & 11 Shafston avenue are a pretty good walk away from Thornton St ferry.

A long time ago I was trying to get together a proposal for a inner-city circle line, similar to the GCL but for Kangaroo Point, the Valley, Herston, Kelvin Grove, West End, South Brisbane. Going in both directions. I'll have to see if I can dig it up at some time.

Edit: something like this, although this was not exactly it and needs a lot of refinement.

I could definitely get behind something like this.

Start it at Buranda Busway Station (to have a direct connection between SE Busway and W'gabba Station then onto the Valley too) and omit the Kangaroo Point diversion, running direct to RBWH via Valley Station. It will also provide a dedicated high-ish (that isn't running a long and slightly more unreliable route i.e 370/375) frequency trunk between Valley and RBWH. Some sort of transit (or possibly as far as bus) lanes between St Pauls Tce and Gregory Tce should also be invested in.

So it's: Buranda Station->Woolloongabba Station->Kangaroo Point (Main St)->Fortitude Valley Station->RBWH

I can see some merit in having it run via Herston to QUT KG, but only if there's some sort of overhaul of the 360/1/3/4 combo (i.e. replace 364 with 234, remove 360/1/3 and new route from Stafford (for example) to North Quay or Cultural Centre via Grange, Newmarket Station, Newmarket, Herston, RBWH Station, Fortitude Valley Station and Adelaide St).

And run Route 234 via L'Estrange Tce from Scott St to QUT (instead of Herston Rd): https://www.google.com.au/maps/dir/-27.4472604,153.0168308/-27.4520019,153.0160522/@-27.4501822,153.0126653,892m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m14!4m13!1m10!3m4!1m2!1d153.0114916!2d-27.4498702!3s0x6b915759d5ae33b9:0x7743cf61d78a8a9d!3m4!1m2!1d153.0148938!2d-27.453432!3s0x6b9159fd7f70d97f:0xf62ec5eff73a4b46!1m0!3e0

^^ I wasn't suggesting transferring off a bus to the ferry.....just stating that kangaroo point residents have that ferry as an option instead of using a bus to the city eg: 234.
Stop 6 is the key stop though.
If they can plonk an opposite stop:

https://www.google.com/maps/@-27.4715256,153.0355728,3a,75y,225.47h,85.8t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s4rceWLExr7i_pxG9hgfz3Q!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

Then there can be flawless connecting between a reworked rbwh bound 234/ and inbound 227(to city)
