Please improve communications during disruptions Queensland Rail

Good Morning,

There have been a number of significant service disruptions the past week.  We accept that unplanned incidents and circumstances do occur from time to time but there is a lot of evidence to show that communications during these disruptions is poor, lacks coordination and is often inaccurate.  Information to passengers must be accurate, timely and concise to help ease frustration with the delays.

Some recent examples of problems:

1.  Salisbury - signalling issue.  https://www.facebook.com/QueenslandRail/posts/2463708433647502

2.  Power issue at Corinda.  https://www.facebook.com/QueenslandRail/posts/2468452813173064

A read of the comments on those posts is somewhat disturbing.

We think there is room for improvement with the communications.  People sitting on trains for an hour or longer and not being kept updated by guards directly is not acceptable. "  It's now been 2 hours since I got on this train at Roma Street. We have had NO communication in over an hour. "

Confusion between TransLink and Queensland Rail is often an issue for passengers as well.

We need to do better for the sake of the passengers please.

Thank you.
